Fjöruborðið

At the seashore restaurant – Fjörubordid, the giant lobster makes appointments with mermaids and Landlubbers. He waves his large claws, attracting the desire to be in the company of starfish and lumb fish. The village´s corrugated iron houses, located just above its harbour, smack of ocean fragrance and seahorses. The village is named Stokkseyri and it sits just sixty thousands meters from Iceland’s capital – Reykjavík, with a view of volcanoes, the ocean and endless hay fields. Under the stars, an even more important journey takes place – across salivating tongues, beautiful stomachs and joyful minds.  Only a 40 minutes drive from the capital.
